Friends of Bertie Dinnage gathered on Saturday 30 November to plant a paper bark maple tree in his memory in a public park on Tottenham Court Road. Supplied by Camden Council and paid for by donations, the tree was planted by Dinnage’s widow Keiko in Whitfield Gardens.

Bertie Dinnage who was chair of the Friends of Open Spaces in Fitzrovia died after a short illness on 16 Febraury 2011.
Max Neufeld of the Charlotte Street Association made a speech in tribute in which he described Dinnage’s enthusiasm for Fitzrovia’s public spaces.
