Significant changes were announced by University College Hospital NHS Trust to the proposals to develop on the former workhouse site in Cleveland Street.

At a Camden Council Development Control Forum on 23 February new proposals to develop the site were presented which showed a scheme of about 140 flats, a walkway to Charlotte Street and a 10 storey tower at the back of the site.

However, the amount of social housing being offered is below that required by a 106 agreement. Residents also criticised the proposal as being too bulky, lacking in open space and childrenโ€™s play area.

One resident criticised the design for being more in keeping with Benidorm than a conservation area in Fitzrovia.
