To inform and entertain the people living or working in the London neighbourhood of Fitzrovia.

Fitzrovia News is produced in print every three months.

Fitzrovia News is an independent, non-profit community newspaper and news site written and produced by volunteers who live or work in Fitzrovia. Content is controlled by a team of editors. Articles are either written by individuals or a collective of writers and editors. We do not syndicate stories from national newspapers or news agencies or carry “advertorials”.

We cover all aspects of life in Fitzrovia with news and features about housing, business, environment, people, events, history, culture, politics and public consultations.

We produce a printed paper every three months, send out a fortnightly or monthly email newsletter, and publish news and features on our website most weeks.

Fitzrovia News is published by the Fitzrovia Community Newspaper Group with support from the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association (registered charity no. 1111649). History of Fitzrovia News

Tower was produced from 1973 until the early 1980s when it was re-named Fitzrovia News. We have an archive of every issue.

A community newspaper called The Tower was started in 1973 by a small group of activists as a free community newspaper but ceased publication at the end of 1979. In 1980 the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood News was born, supported by the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association. It was later shortened to Fitzrovia News and has been published more or less four times a year ever since. From 2009 Fitzrovia News has been published online. As of June 2010 Fitzrovia News has featured in Google News and from October 2014 in Bing News. There is an article on Fitzrovia News at Wikipedia.

We have an archive of all The Tower and Fitzrovia News.
