More news in 2011

Fitzrovia News will bring you news, views, reviews and pictures online every week in 2011. And we’ll bring you Twitter updates and Facebook updates as often as we can about things happening and news around the web related to Fitzrovia.

It won’t be easy producing regular content, but we’ll be making use of WordPress.com’s  The DailyPost, and the community of other news bloggers with similiar goals in neighbourhoods everywhere to help inspire us.

Our website readership grew steadily throughout 2010 and we attracted an average of 2,500 readers every month in the second half of 2010. Our busiest month was September (3,500 hits) when we also produced a 20 page print edition of Fitzrovia News for the first time ever and re-published many of the stories on the website.

A better print edition in 2011

We will also continue with our long-running print edition of Fitzrovia News in 2011 with a regular issue distributed throughout Fitzrovia every three months. We will have more content and in-depth views from more contributors. And more advertising, marketing and promotion of local businesses and services.

If you already read Fitzrovia News,  we  hope you’ll encourage us with comments on what we produce and recommend us to your friends and colleagues. If you want Fitzrovia News delivered to your workplace, then please get in touch with us.

Please support us in 2011

And finally, we will face difficult economic times in 2011 when many of our existing sources of funding will dry up. Please consider supporting Fitzrovia News by donating to the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association. It’s easy to do from our secure online payment system. Please visit our donate page to sustain our efforts in 2011.

If you can’t donate, then please volunteer to help us with writing, taking photographs and with delivering the print edition. Please contact us to get involved.

If you enjoy Fitzrovia News, please review us on Qype and Yelp so that we can attract more advertisers.

We’d like to thank all those who contributed to Fitzrovia News and advertised with us in 2010.
