Poster. An all day event at Camden Town Hall on Saturday 24 November will discuss alternatives to the government’s austerity measures and aims to build a broad coalition with set of proposals and actions.

The event is organised by the Shift Campaign, part of the Alliance for Jobs and Climate, and is supported by Camden Unison, Camden Green Party, the Transition Movement in Camden, Camden Friends of the Earth, the Million Climate Jobs Campaign, and many others, to put together what promises to be a great all-day event: “The Economy for the 99% – Share ideas & tools to make it happen”.

The line up of speakers, includes Charles Secrett the environmentalist and green economist and former head of Friends of the Earth, Natalie Bennett the new leader of the Green Party,  Cllr Phil Jones, Cabinet Member for Sustainability Camden Council, George Barda from the Occupy movement and the SHIFT campaign, and Chris Baugh assistant general secretary of the PCS trade union.

The organisers say this is an opportunity for people to get involved in discussions and contribute to development of a bottom-up set of proposals.

Tickets cost £6 (£3 for concessions) and can now be booked online here or purchased at Housmans bookshop.
