This time of year always shows up the division between those who have plenty and people in need. There are a number of charities in Fitzrovia working to help people to have better lives and provide relief for the poor. We pick three charities you may like to make a donation to this festive season.Â
The Soup Kitchen at the American International Church. LDG Estate Agents in Foley Street are helping to feed the homeless and are encouraging others to follow suit this winter. LDG has committed financially and given time of its staff to help the Soup Kitchen on Whitfield Street. Their Christmas card will also feature the Soup Kitchen and they hope this will encourage others to give to this worthy cause. You can make a donation to The Soup Kitchen here.
UCLH Charitable Foundation. The Fitzrovia Partnership Business Improvement District is asking local companies to make a financial contribution to UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation to provide support for the UCH children’s ward. The fundraiser has been kick started by Fitzrovia IT who have donated  £1000 to UCLH to ensure that families have somewhere to stay over the Christmas period while Meercat Associates have given two new PlayStation 3s to the ward, for the children to enjoy. Please visit UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation website to make a donation.
Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association. Not only does the FNA publish Fitzrovia News, but it also provides a free housing, welfare and debt advice service to people in Fitzrovia. The FNA is grateful for the many donations it has received and for those who have supported the charity by taking adverts in Fitzrovia News. To find out more about what the FNA does and to make a donation, please visit the Charitable Appeal page.
Merry Christmas everyone and have a happy New Year!
