Music, dance and poetry to mark World Mental Health Day and inspired by Dylan Thomas will be performed this Friday afternoon in Fitzrovia, organised by a charity working with people with mental illness.

Upbeat Music was established in 2006 by mental health service users in direct response to the needs of their community. The charity is based in Camden and delivers events all over London.

The event is free and features African & Greek music & dance, rock, blues, live international music & dance, poetry & special guests.

Music for World Mental Health Day: 12 noon to 4pm, Friday 10 October 2014, at Fitzrovia Community Centre, 2 Foley Street, London W1W 6DL.
