In July University College London (UCL) will host an open day where local residents will have the chance to hear about the latest research on aging.

UCL are hosting an old age and immunology open day.

A number of scientists at UCL are investigating how our immune system alters with old age, with the aim of preventing or reducing illness in the older population.

Residents are invited to see posters and demonstrations, ask questions, and find out what it means to take part in research.

“It will be an opportunity to learn about the latest research on aging, the immune system, and understand why older adults are more prone to infection and illness,” Natalie Riddell, a research scientist working at UCL, told Fitzrovia News.
