Camden Council’s private renting scrutiny work, and housing and inequality in London, are the topics for discussion at next week’s public meeting organised by the campaign group Camden Federation of Private Tenants.
Councillor Danny Beales, chair of Camden Council’s Housing Scrutiny Committee will be talking about the work of the Private Rented Sector Scrutiny Panel.
Nicolas Bosetti, researcher at Centre for London think tank, will be speaking about their new report “Housing and Inequality in London”.
Over the past 20 years the price of housing in London has quadrupled and is now the top issue for London voters, worried about the price of homes, and London businesses, who worry about their ability to recruit in an area with such high living costs.
“Housing and Inequality in London” reveals three ways in which the crisis is changing the face of poverty and inequality in the capital.
