A property developer has asked the Planning Inspectorate to review a decision by Camden Council to refuse permission for a roof extension to a building on the corner of Charlotte Street and Tottenham Street.

Camden Council refused planning permission in March because “the proposed roof extension in terms of setting, form and detailed design would appear incongruous as an overly large, disproportionate and incompatible addition detrimental to the character and appearance of the host building, the terraces to which it adjoins and the wider Charlotte Street Conservation Area.”
The building which has Hogarth Studios written on the panels on its facade is currently being redeveloped and is shrouded in scaffolding as the result of an existing planning permission refused by Camden in April 2013 but allowed on appeal in November 2013.
Comments on the appeal can be made to the Planning Inspectorate until 20 June 2016. Site address: 64 Charlotte Street London W1T 4QD. Camden Council, planning reference 2015/6701/P. Planning Inspectorate: reference APP/X5210/W/16/3148520.
