People travelling to and from Fitzrovia will be able to use the Night Tube which starts on the Northern line serving Goodge Street, Tottenham Court Road and Warren Street stations from Friday 18 November.
Trains will run through the night on Fridays and Saturdays every eight minutes between Morden and Camden Town, and every 15 minutes from Camden Town to High Barnet and Edgware.
While the new service will be a benefit for residents who need to get back to Fitzrovia late, or for workers and visitors, London Underground also acknowledge that extra noise around stations and from train movements will be caused.
In a letter sent out to residents London Underground said: “Since 2014 we have been working hard to reduce noise ahead of the service starting. Any announcements at stations will also be kept to an absolute minimum.
“We are also working closely with the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police service to deter crime and anti-social behaviour on the Night Tube.”
Night Tube services are already running on the Central, Victoria and Jubilee lines with the Piccadilly line starting on 16 December.
Fitzrovia News understands that residents living in Holcroft Court on Carburton Street have complained of late night noise from trains running on the Victoria line. There is a Tube Noise Action Group which is trying to coordinate complaints from different parts of London.
