The London Cocktail Club Limited has applied to Westminster Council to vary the premises licence at the basement of Portland House, 4 Great Portland Street in Fitzrovia West.

They seek permission to vary the conditions and to make permanent the temporary extended hours for licensable activities until 30 minutes past midnight on Thursday, and 1.30am the following morning on Friday and Saturday. No changes are proposed for Sunday to Wednesday.

On 25 November 2021 a Licensing Sub Committee granted a time limited extension of hours under reference 21/07628/LIPV. That permission expires on 30 March 2023.

This current application is to make the extended hours permanent.

The application states:

(a) Vary the terminal hour from 23.30 Thursdays to 00.30 for film, live music, recorded music, late night refreshment and retail sale of alcohol;

(b) Vary the terminal hour from 00.00 Fridays and Saturdays to 01:30 for film, live music, recorded music, late night refreshment and retail sale of alcohol.

A number of additional conditions have been offered in support of the application.

To view the details of the application and to make a comment, see the application on Westminster Council’s website.
