Camden adopts new statement of community involvement for planning policy and applications

Camden Council has adopted a new Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), amending its previous document to account for changes in planning legislation.

The SCI sets out how the Council will consult and engage with the community through the planning process on both planning applications and preparing planning policy and replaces the 2016 version.

A public consultation was held on the SCI from 30 November 2023 to 31 January 2024.

The decision to approve the new SCI was taken by Councillor Danny Beales, cabinet member for new homes, jobs and community investment.
