There will be a “poems and songs” event taking place upstairs at the King and Queen pub, on the corner of Cleveland Street and Foley Street, on Monday 10 June.

Poets Wendy Shutler, Andrew Cuthbert and singer-songwriter Ivor Game will be performing, along with a couple of audience members.

“We used to do quite a few of these at the King and Queen,” says Ivor Game.

“It’s such a good venue. But this one will be our first performance in a while. It’s always a lovely light evening, and Wendy’s poems are very special.

“If any readers of The Fitzrovia News would like to come — it’s free — then you would be most welcome,” he says.

Wendy Shutler was featured in The Fitzrovia News a few times in the good old days when it was a proper, printed newspaper.

Wendy Shutler, Andrew Cuthbert and Ivor Game, from 8pm to 9pm, Monday 10 June 2024, upstairs at the King and Queen, 1 Foley Street, London W1W 6DL. Admission Free.
