Efes Kebab House Limited has applied to Camden Council to vary the premises licence at the ground floor and basement of 56 Maple Street, on the corner with Cleveland Street in Fitzrovia.

The existing licence allows for the sale of alcohol until 11pm Monday to Saturday and until 10.30pm on Sunday.

This application seeks to change a number of licensable activities, including to extend the sale of alcohol and the sale of “late night refreshment” to midnight from Monday to Wednesday, and until 1am the following morning on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Permission is also sought for the performance of live music and dance in the basement of the premises on Friday and Saturday night until 1am the following morning.

No change of times or activities on a Sunday are proposed.

A number of conditions have been offered in support of the application, including restricting the use of the outside area until midnight; and that the premises “shall only operate as a restaurant” where “customers are shown to their table or the customer will select a table themselves”, “where the supply of alcohol is by waiter or waitress service only”, and which provides food in the form of “substantial table meals that are prepared on the premises and are served and consumed at the table”.

To view the details of the application and make a comment, search Camden’s public licensing register for the following reference:

A public consultation on the application is open until 27 July 2024.
