Architecture and planning is child’s play in August at the Building Centre

The Building Centre in Store Street has an exhibition and events suitable for children and parents taking place in August.

“Our exhibition is called Little Investigators and encourages children and their parents and carers to look at the built environment around them,” says The Building Centre.

The exhibition opens on Thursday 1 August and entry is free.

“It is based on a workshop we have been delivering in local schools. The exhibition is curated from what we learned from the schools we visited. It’s interactive and encourages children to participate by drawing their own landmarks.

“The overall aim is to inspire and encourage the next wave of architects and city planners.”

Alongside the free exhibition, there two free workshops that carers or parents can bring their children along to on 13 and 22 August.
