Blake to lead Commons debate on short-term letting

Rachel Blake MP for Cities of London and Westminster will be leading a Commons debate on the regulation of short-term letting, at Westminster Hall on Thursday 12 September.

“Many of you have shared concerns about how short-term letting is impacting our local communities and neighbourhoods,” writes Blake in an email to her constituents.

“I know colleagues at Westminster City Council have been working on this for some time and I have raised this issue also with the Corporation of London, as many short-term lets could be providing long-term privately rented homes for local people and contributing to easing the housing crisis. I will be raising these issues with the Minister on Thursday,” she says.
