Woodhead 17 Ltd has applied to Westminster Council for a new premises at Clipstone, 5 Clipstone Street, on the corner with Bolsover Street in Fitzrovia West.

The application seeks permission for the sale of alcohol to drink both on and off the premises from 9am to 11.30pm on Monday to Thursday, 9am until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from 12noon until 10.30pm on Sunday; and to serve late night refreshment until the same terminal hour as alcohol from Monday to Saturday.

The premises is described as a restaurant and has an existing premises licence (ref: 16/04952/LIPDPS) which permits the sale of alcohol to drink on the premises until 11pm on Monday to Saturday, and until 10.30pm on Sunday.

However, according to documents submitted to the council, the applicant now wishes to secure a new premises licence to “regularise” changes to the premises layout (including the outside seating area), update conditions, add “off sales”, and extend the terminal hours of licensable activities by 30 minutes on Monday to Thursday, and by 60 minutes on Friday and Saturday to match the council’s “core hours” policy. No changes to Sunday hours are proposed.
