If your clothing needs patching, cycles need fixing, or household items are in need of repair, then a new monthly workshop run by volunteers at the Fitzrovia Community Centre is inviting you to “Fix it, don’t ditch it!”.
“Starting Sunday 27 October, we will be holding RRRRepair events to help you Repair, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose your clothes, bikes and household items,” says Donna Yay, director of the Community Centre.
“We are looking for local volunteers with mending skills to help with the events,”
“We are starting with clothes and bikes,” says Donna Yay, director of the Community Centre.
The idea is that people bring their items and learn out to repair them with the assistance of volunteers and keep them working for longer, saving money and also helping to save the planet.
Repair, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose starts on Sunday 27 October, from 2pm to 5pm, at Fitzrovia Community Centre, 2 Foley Street, London W1W 6DL. Then every fourth Sunday of the month (check the calendar). No need to book, just come along.
