Fitzrovia-based author Stephen Oram will be in conversation with Eva Pascoe at Housmans bookshop, Kings Cross at an event in April.
Oram is launching his latest novel, We Are Not Anonymous — a science-fiction thriller rooted in todayโs concerns about AI, billionaire tech barons, climate change, politics and government, personal rights, data ownership and police militarisation. But itโs also an inspiring story about the power of activism, community and the resourcefulness of humanity.
Pascoe is co-chairperson of the digital futures think tank, Cybersalon, and founder of the world’s first cyber cafe, Cyberia, which was on the corner of Scala Street and Whitfield Street in Fitzrovia.
Oram and Pascoe will explore questions about what a working utopia looks like, and whether utopia for some is dystopia for others.
Book Launch: We Are Not Anonymous, by Stephen Oram; in conversation with Eva Pascoe. 7pm to 8.30pm Wednesday 9 April 2025, at Housmans bookshop, 5 Caledonian Road, Kings Cross, London N1 9DX. Various prices. Entry is by advance booking only.
