Exhibition: Caricature cats at the Cartoon Museum

Cats have featured in a number of cartoons. Among them are Garfield, Simon’s Cat, Krazy Kat and Bagpuss to name but a few. There is a long list cartoon cats.

For the first time, The Cartoon Museum is collecting together many of the greatest cats to feature in comics, newspapers and magazines, to explore why people love kitties so much and what felines tell us about life.

Cats in Cartoons, which runs from April through to September 2025, featuring works by artists Louis Wain, Ronald Searle, Heath Robinson, Wendy Eastwood, Simon Tofield, Anthony Smith, Gemma Correll, Natty Peterkin and Hunt Emerson, and more.

Cats in Cartoons is on until 7 September 2025 at The Cartoon Museum, 63 Wells Street, London, W1A 3AE.
