Temporary public seating will be installed at nine locations across Fitzrovia at the end of May ahead of the London Festival of Architecture.

Due to be put in place from Tuesday 27 May, the seats are individually designed and manufactured by nine different architecture practices.

The project is organised by The Fitzrovia Partnership business group which will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and security of the seats during the promotion.

Each “Fitz&Sits” seat is sponsored by a local business and “will form part of a trail around Fitzrovia and encourage the local community to pause, connect and enjoy their surroundings”, says The Fitzrovia Partnership which runs two business improvement districts in the neighbourhood.

The seating will be in place throughout the festival in June and possibly the summer months at the following locations:

โ€˜Patiently Waitingโ€™ by Studio This +That
Goodge Street/Charlotte Street
โ€˜Fitz Togetherโ€™ by Collective from Minifie Architects
