Hiding in the shadows of the eighteenth century St Giles-in-the-Fields church and the former rookery of streets that surround it are fascinating stories from what was the edge of London.

As part of Local London Guiding Day, where free guided walks are taking place across London, Camden Tour Guides Association will put on a tour to take place every hour, on the hour, from 10am on Saturday 4 October.

During the walk you can hear the story of two trailblazing women, plague pits and executions, walk in the footsteps of rock and roll rebels, and experience the serenity of a hidden green oasis.

The tour is free, but participants are encouraged to make a donation to charity.
