Fragolah Limited has applied to Camden Council for a new premises licence for Fifth Element, Italian Bar and Kitchen, at 96 Cleveland Street in Fitzrovia.
The site was previously occupied by the Four Lanterns restaurant which closed earlier this year.
Permission is now sought by the new owner for the sale of alcohol to drink on and off the premises from 12 midday to 11pm, Monday to Wednesday, until 11.30pm from Thursday to Saturday, and until 10.30pm on Sundays.
According to the application, the business is described as an Italian restaurant with seating inside for 52 customers and seating outside for outside for 18, to give a total capacity of between 70 and 80 persons. A pavement licence application has also been submitted to cover the outside area in the carriageway, known as a “streatery”.
To view the details of the application and make a comment, search Camden’s public licensing register for the following reference:

A public consultation on the application is open until 28 October 2025.
The Fitzrovia News advises that any representation should be submitted well in advance of the closing date due to the unreliable nature of Camden Council’s public licensing register, according to recent reports we have.
Residents in Camden may also contact the Charlotte Street Association for help and advice in responding to planning and licensing applications.
