Lotus Realm Limited has applied to Westminster Council for a new premises licence at the ground floor and basement of 4 Berners Street in Fitzrovia West.
Permission is sought for the sale of alcohol to drink on the premises from 2pm to midnight every day of the week.
Lotus Realm is described as a two-storey, tea-focused dining and cultural space.
According to the application, the premises will operate as a seated, hospitality-led environment offering tea beverages, light refreshments, and Chinese tea ceremony experiences during daytime hours.
From the early evening onwards, the premises will transition into a calm, dining-orientated setting supported by a fully equipped commercial kitchen providing substantial hot meals, accompanied by a modest selection of tea-inspired cocktails served only to seated guests as part of their dining experience, states the application.
Deadline to respond to the public consultation is 23 December 2025.
Due to ongoing technical issues caused by a breach of its computer system, Westminster Councilโs Licensing Service is still unable to produce the usual details of applications.
