Pistache Hospitality Group Limited has applied to Westminster Council to vary its premises licence to allow later hours for activities at the Mandrake Hotel, 20-21 Newman Street in Fitzrovia West.

The current licence (24/04354/LIPVM) allows the sale of alcohol and a number of other activities from 7am until midnight from Monday to Wednesday; 7am to 30 minutes past midnight from Thursday to Saturday; and from 7am to 11pm on Sunday.

Permission is now sought to extend the hours for activities including the sale of alcohol until 1am, and late night refreshment until 1.30am, everyday of the week. It will mean the venue would be open to the public until 2am every day.

Deadline for responding to the public consultation is 1 January 2026.

Due to ongoing technical issues caused by a breach of its computer system, Westminster Council’s Licensing Service is still unable to produce the usual details of applications.

Residents wishing to see further details of the application — or to make a comment on the application — should send an email to licensing@westminster.gov.uk quoting the application reference address: Mandrake Hotel, 20-21 Newman Street, London W1T 1PG.

The Fitzrovia News has also provided a copy of the application below.

Residents in the City of Westminster can make use of free advice from the Licensing Advice Project at Citizens Adviceย Westminster, and should also contact the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association with any comments they wish to make.

This application was due to be heard at Licensing Sub-Committee (3), Wednesday 4 March 2026. Update: 24 February 2026. Westminster Council has said that the application has been withdrawn and will not proceed any further.
