Essential maintenance work is being carried out on roads across the City of Westminster this January. Cadent Energy, UK Power Networks and Thames Water are all due to carry out works this month, resulting in some road closures and lane closures and inevitable noise nuisance for residents.

Virgin Media, Transport for London (TfL) and Westminster City Council (WCC) will also be starting several projects.

In Fitzrovia West, the carriageway of Mortimer Street is currently closed to all traffic between Nassau Street and Wells Street while Cadent repairs a gas main. The work is due to be completed by Wednesday 7 January, according to One Network.

Bolsover Street is due to be closed from 8am, 12 January to 6pm, 23 January, for works being carried out by UK Power Networks.

The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has trawled through the list using one.network, an online directory, and found numerous road closures and roadworks in Westminster.
