The Social Little Portland Street Ltd has applied to Westminster Council to vary the premises licence for the ground floor and basement at 5 Little Portland Street in Fitzrovia West.

Currently the venue has permission for licensable activities, including the sale of alcohol to drink on and off the premises, from 10am to 1am the following morning from Monday to Saturday, and from 12 noon until 30 minutes past midnight the following morning on Sunday.

Permission is now sought to extend the hours of licensing activities, including the sale of alcohol, until 3.00am the following morning from Monday to Sunday, and to amend a number of conditions on the licence.

A public consultation on the application is open until 13 February 2026.

Due to ongoing technical issues caused by a breach of its computer system, Westminster Councilโ€™s Licensing Service is still unable to produce the usual details of applications.

Residents wishing to see further details of the application โ€” or to make a comment on the application โ€” can email to licensing@westminster.gov.uk quoting the application reference address: The Social, 5 Little Portland Street, London W1W 7JD. The application form is also available to view below this article.

Residents in the City of Westminster can make use of free advice from the Licensing Advice Project at Citizens Adviceย Westminster, and should also contact the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association with any comments they wish to make.
