Amereida Ltd has applied to Westminster Council to vary its premises licence at 160 Great Portland Street on the corner with Clipstone Street in Fitzrovia West.
The current licence (25/02933/LIPDPS) authorises the sale of alcohol for consumption both on and off the premises but requires it to only operate as a restaurant, where drinks are only sold to those customers who are taking a table meal.
This restriction is set out in condition number nine of the licence.
Permission is now being sought to change condition nine to allow part of the premises to operate without this restriction. This would, in effect, allow part of it to operate as a bar where alcohol can be sold to and consumed by customers who are not having a meal.
The premises would continue to operate as a restaurant in the main “except for the area hatched on the licence plan”, which has been submitted with the application.
To view the details of the application and to make a comment, see the application on Westminster Council’s website.
26/00132/LIPV, Amereida,160 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5QA.
A public consultation on the application is open until 11 March 2026.
