Three-hour ‘grand pianothon’ for charity at Newman Street

Grand Passion Pianos on Newman Street in Fitzrovia West is holding a three-hour live piano event on a Saturday afternoon in May, bringing together pianists of all levels for a continuous programme of performances in aid of charity.

The independent specialist in Steinway instruments is inviting beginner, intermediate, and advanced performers to play on its grand pianos, giving a short performance at the “pianothon”.

“This is a unique event for pianists and enthusiasts alike to play on world-class grand pianos all while supporting a meaningful cause. All proceeds will be donated in full to Help Musicians, who undertake vital work to support musicians,” say the organisers.

Performers will need to book in advance and make a minimum £10 donation.

The event is open to the public, meaning friends, family, and general attendees are all welcome. It’s an informal, drop-in style performance, so people can come in, listen, and leave at their convenience.
