Film crews will descend on Fitzroy Square for one day in April to shoot scenes for a new series, according to a letter sent to local residents.

Brief Productions Ltd say that activity will take place from 8am to 8pm on Friday 24 April and a number of “pay and display” parking bays will be suspended with yellow signs at locations on part of Warren Street, Cleveland Street, Fitzroy Street and Grafton Way to accommodate crew vehicles.

Camden Film Office say that only battery-powered generators will be in operation to supply electricity to the film set.

The location of the suspended bays will be slightly altered from those published in the letter (see below) delivered to residents, with the final location of bays to be used marked with yellow signs from Wednesday this week.

Filming will take place along the eastern side of Fitzroy Square for a series called “War”.

“We appreciate this may cause some inconvenience for residents and apologise in advance,” states location manager James Struthers in a letter dated 16 April.

“Access for residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout.

“We have been working closely with FilmFixer, Camden Councilโ€™s Film Office to achieve our proposal, who support our intentions in principle, subject to public consultation. With measures such as silent generators and public consultations, we are confident any disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum.

“We would like to thank you in advance, as we appreciate that it is a privilege to film in Westminster [sic] and do not take for granted the support we are shown from residents and business owners.”

Residents who have any concerns about the filming can contact the location manager via the details in the letter below or contact Camden Council via its Filming in Camden page.
