A new exhibition tells the story of University College London’s buildings that make up the Bloomsbury campus and coincides with the publication of a new Survey of London volume.
Tracing over 200 years of architectural history and drawing on new research by the Survey of London and the Bartlett School of Architecture, the exhibition brings together drawings, artworks, and archival material from UCL Art Collection and Special Collections to explore the evolution of the site from its 1820s origins to the present day.
Survey of London: The Bloomsbury campus is the first comprehensive account of UCL’s architectural history, released in recognition of UCL’s Bicentenary in 2026. It includes many buildings west of Gower Street and Tottenham Court Road in Fitzrovia. Nearly 500 pages in length it is available to buy in paperback and hardback or free to download.
