The Met Police closed Riding House Street at the junction with Candover and Nassau Street in Fitzrovia West this morning to investigate a serious incident that happened around 10.30am on Sunday 12 July.

Blue tape was put up to cordon off the area and shortly afterwards red tape was put up as an inner cordon.

London Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

One person is believed to be seriously injured outside on the east side pavement of Candover Street.

Riding House Street was closed to all vehicles at the junction with Candover and Nassau Streets.

Candover Street remained closed at 12.30pm but Riding House Street reopened.

Later in the afternoon the incident was over and emergency services left the scene and all the roads were reopened.
