Notting Hill Carnival — “The Greatest Community-led Event on the Planet!” — is taking place from Saturday 29 to Monday 31 August 2026.
Organised by Notting Hill Carnival Ltd and supported by Westminster City and Kensington and Chelsea councils, there will be mas bands, Brazilian bands, steel bands, sound systems along the route and an array of stalls.
“Most roads within the Carnival area are expected to be closed to vehicles from 6am on Sunday 30 August until 6am on Tuesday 1 September 2026. During this time, only Carnival floats, pre-authorised event vehicles and emergency vehicles will be allowed into the area,” say Westminster City and Kensington and Chelsea councils.
