Public information events for forthcoming Oxford Street changes

Oxford Street Development Corporation (OSDC) is inviting local residents to visit a drop-in event to find out more about the forthcoming pedestrianisation of the shopping street.

“The first change will be seen on the section of Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street, which is on track to go traffic-free by late October, in time for the busiest shopping period on the street,” says OSDC.

“Buses, taxis, cycles and other vehicles will be diverted away from the pedestrianised area. You may see some street works in the Oxford Street area from early September to enable these changes.”

OSDC is running three events where you can meet the team and find out more about the plans:

• Monday 28 September 1.30-4.30pm
  Regent’s Hall, 275 Oxford Street, London W1C 2DJ
• Wednesday 30 September 5.30-8.30pm
  OSDC, 19 Wells Street, London W1T 3PL
• Thursday 1 October 4.30-7.30pm
  Fitzrovia Community Centre, 2 Foley Street, London W1W 6DL
