After months of closure and construction works, a newly refurbished children’s play area has opened this week at Crabtree Fields, Whitfield Street in Fitzrovia. The play space features timber climbing apparatus, sawdust, swings, and a sandy beach play area.
The refurbishment was much-needed as the previous playground had fallen into disrepair and had not been suitable for use for more than three years. The open space had declined and had become an unofficial office workers’ smoking area.
