Westminster Council wants to provide cycle parking for residents requiring secure storage for non-standard cycles such as handcycles, tricycles, and cargo bikes, and has launched a survey to understand demand.

“We are keen to gather your feedback regarding the roll out of cargo/adapted bike hangars in the borough and strongly encourage you to participate in the survey as your input and feedback are vital in shaping the implementation of the secure cycle storage, ensuring that it aligns with your needs and preferences,” says the council.

“By sharing your views, you have an opportunity to contribute to the development of an effective and inclusive solution for cycle storage.”

The council has also updated its “register an interest” form for secure cycle storage by including an option for non-standard cycles.

Early this year Westminster unveiled its very first non-standard cycle hanger which is “fully accessible”, and “step-free, from the carriagewayโ€.

The public consultation will run until 4 September 2024.
